activeidler.com is my portfolio: films, photographs, stories and the work I do for clients. These terms cover using the website. By using it, you agree to them. Work we agree to do together is covered by our own written agreement, not by this page.
Who runs this site
This site is run by me, Mayur Srivatsav, a filmmaker and photographer based in Bengaluru, India. You can reach me at mayur@activeidler.com.
The work on this site
Unless a page says otherwise, the films, photographs, writing and design on this site are mine, and I keep the copyright in them. Some films were made for clients, and the rights in those may also belong to them.
You are welcome to view the work, share links to it and quote short passages with a credit and a link back. Please do not download, copy, edit or reuse the photographs, films or writing, including to train AI models, without my written permission. If you would like to use something, write to me. I am usually happy to talk about it.
Using the site
- Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the site.
- Do not use the contact form to send spam, or anything unlawful or abusive.
- Do not try to sign in or create an account. The sign-in is only for me, to manage the site.
What I write here
The stories and guides on this site share what I know from my own work. They are general information, not legal, financial or tax advice. Rules on things like filming permits, drones and payments change, so please check the current position with the relevant authority or a professional before you rely on them.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites or show videos hosted by YouTube and Vimeo. I do not control those services, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
No guarantees
I work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it will always be available, complete or free of errors. As far as the law allows, I am not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on what it says.

The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you use the site from outside India, you are also responsible for following your local laws.
